Michael Jackson, 36, was arrested at his home Tuesday afternoon and was charged with conspiracy, passing misstatements of government information and illegally selling drugs and a conspiracy to commit crimes.
Jackson was charged with trafficking in unlicensed drugs, and possession with intent to distribute unlicensed drugs and misstatements of government information.
The Food and Drug Administration said in a statement, "These are serious charges and, in the interest of public safety, we are investigating the matter."
Jackson was arraigned Thursday at the King County Courthouse in Chicago.
The case is being prosecuted by U. S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
